Marine Corps (TA)
Marine Corps Tuition Assistance (TA) is available to eligible servicemembers for the structured certification courses that are held quarterly. Self-paced certification courses do not qualify for military tuition assistance funding.
Marine Corps TA will cover one certification course. You may choose from these structured certificate programs*.
All of the structured personal training certification courses are the 10 weeks in duration and must be started at the beginning of the quarter.
You will have weekly written assignments, discussion posts, and quizzes due for each class, and will be required to take a proctored final examination for each class in the final week of class. Upon successful completion of a personal training course through ISSA College of Exercise Science (75% or higher) and receipt of valid CPR/AED/First Aid documentation, the relevant certification is issued.
Marine Corps TA will cover up to $166.67 per quarter credit. This means that there will be an out-of-pocket cost ($18.33 per quarter credit) that the student will be responsible for paying.
*Eligible for Marine Corps TA (and occasionally Air Force TA). For all other military branches, tuition assistance is available for our AS in Exercise Science degree program as long as you have not already earned an Associate's or higher level degree.
